Ukraine: "People are on the street".

Angelina Kariakina â€" after unsuccessful attempt to pass a motion of censure in Parliament, opposition leaders confirmed the timeliness requirement of resignation of the Executive by any means, including through the President. Intend to now that Ianukovich post personally a decree on the resignation of the Government and appeal to supporters and protesters present at the independence square to continue the strike pickets in front of the presidential administration and stay there until they get results. The statements of the leaders of the opposition are always strong and firm. There are still many protesters in the streets and there are no plans to reduce the rallies.

I announced the proposed measures to calm the situation on the street and to reach a compromise with the opposition and protesters. It is interesting to note that the Interior Minister, Vitaly Zakharchenko, was not in Parliament. Now, after the brutal repression of the demonstrators the resignation of Zakharchenko is one of the main demands of the opposition. According to the party of regions, in power, and taking into account the tension that lives, the Minister has not been in Rada precisely for having to deal with the situation on the ground â€" was the justification given. There is a concrete offer from the Government to reach a compromise. The opposition insists. But no compromise is in sight because the Government stepped in and red line should resign.
