Ukraine: Students sing happy birthday to Berkut

With a birthday cake, students celebrated the 25 years of the creation of the Berkut, the special riot police unit, established on December 5, 1988.

Front of cops, a young aired a jug with a liquid symbolizing blood and asked that this be the last drop of blood spilled on the streets of Kiev.

The cops were invited to participate in the celebration, but didn't react to the provocation.

One of the participants in this action explains: "do not harm them and hope they don't use force against us. In fact, the fake blood that we brought was to dump here, but after we changed our mind. This should be the last symbolic drop of blood spilled in this fight. "

Students sought Berkut agents in the Centre of Kiev, but have not found. They then Bankova Street, where there were clashes of the Berkut with protesters on 1 December, offered a cake and sang happy birthday.
