Central African Republic: President and Prime Minister to dismiss

The announcement came after an extraordinary Summit of the economic community of Central African States, held for two days in the neighboring country of Chad, the Central African Republic who had been instrumental in the withdrawal of support for the former President of that country, the Christian François Bozizé, overthrown by rebellious Coalition Séléka, in March last year.

The resignation of the transitional rulers have arisen following the pressure exerted by regional leaders of the Central African Republic, dissatisfied by the failure revealed by the Muslim Michel Djotodia in controlling violent religious conflicts plaguing the country for several weeks.

Talks to find a new political leadership in the Central African Republic should be initiated in Bangui, the capital of the country.

The violence in the Central African Republic is a constant for many years, but worsened in early December, leading to a French military intervention with United Nations authorization. It is estimated that the conflict in the country has made in the last month alone more than a thousand dead and about one million displaced people.
