Speech by father Francisco addresses abortion

The Pontiff received the ambassadors accredited to the Holy See for the traditional new year's celebration message and has not forgotten the social problems of the planet.

On the subject of abortion referred to the suffering of the children and the culture of the "disposable" both food and people.

"Think that there are children who will never see light, victims of abortion and those that are used as soldiers, raped and killed in armed conflict, objects of a huge market modern slavery which is trafficking in human beings".

Pope Francis had already disclosed the rejection of abortion on the part of the Church in his first apostolic exhortation, published on 26 November.
