Turkey: opposition demands resignation of Erdogan after disclosure of incriminating wiretaps

Evil has been known to wiretap, Erdogan met emergency overnight with the Chief of the secret service, the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Deputy Prime Minister.

The telephone conversation, the authenticity of which has not yet been proven, have occurred on December 17, the day of a major operation that anti-corruption were detained the sons of three Ministers. The alleged conversations between the Turkish Prime Minister and one of his sons, Bilal says at one point that hasn't managed to free itself of about 30 million euros. Erdogan says that the recording is "a blatant mount" and denounces a "sneak attack" against the Government that "will be punished".

The Turkey is divided: there are those who believe in the recording because the country is a victim of "internal corruption" and is a "path of no return". Others question why the subject comes to light two months from local elections and there are also those who consider "there's no reason that can explain the events of recent years in Turkey" and therefore "Nowadays, cannot reveal the truth altogether".

Erdogan has denounced an "organized campaign" to destroy it by a former ally, Fethullah Gulen, a clergyman, media mogul, resident in the United States, which accuses Prime Minister of creating a "parallel State" in Turkey and to influence justice.
