Azerbaijan receives the Spring Festival

This is a celebration that in Iran means the beginning of the new year.

"It's a very old holiday, people celebrate it for thousands of years. For us it's like renascêssemos, it means a new life, "explains Nijat Kyazimov, a participant in the festivities.

In Azerbaijan, as elsewhere, celebrates the victory of spring over winter, is the rebirth of a new day dedicated to the renovation of the Earth.

This party of traditions, folklore and gastronomy, is intangible world heritage by UNESCO.

During these days, people visit friends and family. They believe that the wishes become reality, with a condition, must be positive.
