Erdogan accuses Syria of violating Turkish airspace

Immediately after being shot down the Syrian military plane, Erdogan spoke at a rally of his party in Istanbul. The Turkish Prime Minister explained that the Syrians have violated Turkey's airspace and asked the crowd to support its policies.

In his speech, Erdogan took the opportunity to defend the decision to block Twitter, despite the blockade have multiplied in the country the comments on the social network.

Among his supporters, Erdogan's decision does not appear to raise controversy. One of the protesters declared himself pleased considering that the Prime Minister was being humiliated in the social network: "I'm glad Twitter have been blocked. No one can humiliate the Prime Minister that the nation elected. Today our nation responded to allegations â€" here's a million people "

For another, it would be advisable to simply block the internet: "we support our Prime Minister. And if not only Twitter but also facebook and the internet are blocked, we are with our Prime Minister. "

The question that counts now for the Turkish Prime Minister is to what extent the support his Government won't suffer a sharp drop in the upcoming elections. With the March 30 municipal outside, polls predict that Erdogan's Party will lose about 15% of votes, a test for the procedure, after the 50% obtained in 2011 legislative.
