The tension around the Ukraine

Many of the forces involved in the Russian military maneuvers which took place in February and March near the Ukraine, not returned to barracks. General Philip Breedlove, Supreme Commander of allied forces in Europe (NATO), warned the size and readiness of Russian forces along the border with Ukraine. Moscow has responded that it has no expansionist intention.

The Ukrainian naval base in Feodosia was besieged Sunday by pro-Russian forces. Gradually these forces are assuming control of Ukrainian military installations as happened on Saturday with the air base of Belbek.

In Kiev during a demonstration by Union of Ukraine, in the face of the annexation of Crimea by Russia, the Ukrainian Secretary of National Security Council and defense, Andrii Paroubii, stated that the Russian troops of Vladimir Putin are prepared to attack the Ukraine "at all times".

Meanwhile thousands of people demonstrated in Donetsk and Kharkhiv demanding the return of the deposed President, Viktor Ianukovich.

The tension increased in Eastern Ukraine, inhabited mainly by Russian-speakers.

Kiev accuses Moscow of sending special forces elements to exacerbate pro-Russian demonstrations in that region of the country.
