Pistorius's next door neighbor who heard "bloodcurdling screams" the night of the murder back on the stand

The Defense attempts to dismantle this Tuesday the statements of the prosecution's key witness, a neighbor of the couple who claimed to have heard "bloodcurdling screams" the night of the murder.

"I think if Oscar was black I would have gone to prison for a long time," said a passerby who is convinced of the guilt of Pistorius.

Another South African highlights the testimony of Michele Burger, who lives less than 200 metres from Pistorius. The witness for the prosecution stated that had the window open on the fateful night, he heard cries for help from a woman and a man and that he felt "the terror in this woman's voice".

The statements put into question the defense theory, according to which Pistorius has confused his girlfriend with a thief. The 27-year-old athlete pleaded not guilty at the opening of the trial.
