Orban with overwhelming majority in Hungary

Viktor Orban will continue to command the destinies of Hungary. The results of this Sunday's elections leave no room for doubt: the Fidesz party, allied with Christian Democrats, holds a two-thirds majority in Parliament which allows you to govern without any opposition and that allowed profound changes in the Constitution, some of them controversial.

"One thing is certain: the Fidesz and the Christian Democrats have set a new European record, is the Party on Europe with more popular support. The Hungarians said no outside European Union, reinforced the idea that we should remain in the European Union, but only if we have a strong national Government, "said Orban in victory speech.

Although the percentage of votes has been just under 50%, the new electoral rules, which eliminated the second round, have enabled the Fidesz have a difference of almost 100 members in relation to the left-wing coalition. The far-right Jobbik party came third, with a result very close to the front led by the Socialists.
