Russian court condemns killers of Anna Politkovskaya

This new trial confirmed the guilt of two of the defendants and sentenced three men who had been cleared in the previous process, of 2009.

The convicts are three Chechen brothers, one of whom was the author of the shots that killed Politkovskaya on reception of the block of flats where he lived in Moscow, and even a monkey's uncle and a former police.

Politkovskaya was the author of many articles critical of the Kremlin. The human rights activists in Russia say that justice will be done only when also the rulers of crime are sentenced.
