Grandson of Jacques Cousteau beats world record

Fabien stressed that "the focus was never on the record. But we knew one more day under water is symbolic and would draw people's attention. And that would be a point of pride for him. "

He, Jacques Cousteau, spent 30 days submerged in the waters of the Red Sea, in 1963. The conditions of Fabien were quite different: the Aquarius lab, dipped to 20 meters deep, had air conditioning, Internet, and allowed organizing pedagogical sessions with schools and museums directly from the bottom of the sea.
