And death whistled by Lauren Bacall

Even if multiplied messages of condolences on the tragic death of Robin Williams, when the news of the disappearance of one of the divas of the golden age of cinema: To 89 years, Lauren Bacall succumbed to a heart attack.

Sensuous woman, of penetrating gaze and husky voice, Bacall leaves for the history of the arts 70 years of a career apportioned between the big screen and Broadway, the stage where received recognition that ran on 7th art.

At the age of 19 years, debuted in cinema alongside future husband Humphrey Bogart in "the have and have-nots" (To Have and Have Not). Were an inseparable couple, both on and off the screen, until you have been widow at 32 years.

Had an affair with Frank Sinatra and turned out to be eight-year marriage with another alcoholic, Jason Robards Jr., whom he divorced in 1969 because of the actor's problems with drink.

Cousin of Shimon Perez, the President of Israel, Bacall was born in the Bronx, New York, September 16, 1924, with the name Betty Joan Perske. Still dreamed of journalism, but was in the interpretation that reached the consecration.

He received two Tony Awards for musicals inspired by Hollywood classics, "Applause" (1970) and "the first lady" (1981).

In the film, left its mark on films such as "on the edge" (The Big Sleep, 1946), "raging Passions" (Key Largo, 1948), "like Winning a millionaire" (How to Marry a Millionaire, 1953) or "Murder on the Orient Express" (1974).

Despite only having been awarded an Ã"scar, career in 2009, Lauren Bacall became a legend, having played some of the mythical scenes of the golden age of Hollywood.
