Erdogan's AKP to Davutoglu on the eve of assuming the Presidency of Turkey

Before the militants, Davutoglu promised to follow up the efforts of Turkey to enter the European Union and insisted on one of the flags Erdogan policies:

"We need a new Constitution, a Constitution first made by the people, a Constitution and freedoms of democracy," said Davutoglu.

Erdogan wants more powers for the Presidency â€" until now an almost symbolic role â€" and it needs to change the fundamental text, whether through a two-thirds majority of the members or by means of a referendum.

Outside the Congress in Ankara, the changeover was commented by a supporter of the AKP to whom the two politicians "are well prepared" for the new offices.
