Lampedusa: Italian authorities recover six more bodies of immigrants

Since Friday were rescued 4000 immigrants, who came to Italy in boats from North Africa, most from Libya.

On Sunday the Italian Navy had recovered 18 bodies and saved 73 immigrants who were adrift, several days ago, in a small boat.

The rescue operation "Mare Nostrum" costs, to Italians, more than 9 million euros per month. Italy wants the European Union to assume the burden, too since it considers that this is a European problem, an issue that will be debated this week.

Through social networks, the Italian interior Minister threat: "or Europe assumes responsibility on this issue or Italy take its own measures."

Since the beginning of the year arrived, illegally, by country, by this route, more than 100 thousand immigrants.
