Author of shooting Ohio evasion attempt failed

Thomas Lane escaped the prisonal establishment of the town of Lima, where he is serving a life sentence.

The young man of 19 years was, however, captured a few hours later a short distance from the site.

The prison director, Kevin Jones, said he didn't know "what he was doing, but he was arrested less than a hundred yards from the main fence of the establishment".

Lane was sentenced to the maximum sentence last year for opening fire on a group of students of the lideu of Chardon, in the suburbs of Cleveland, killing three teenagers and wounding three others, one of whom was paralyzed.
