Argentina: life sentence for violation of human rights

In the dock was once again the former head of the police of Buenos Aires province, Miguel Etchecolatz, who amassed a second conviction to life imprisonment.

A Court of La Plata thought about 20 civilians and former soldiers accused of torture and murder of 135 victims, including the daughter of Estela Carlotto, leader of the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo.

The mothers and Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo became famous for search initiatives of their children and grandchildren who disappeared during the dictatorship and demand accountability of the guilty.

The victims were held in a clandestine Center known as "La Blah".

Second source of Prosecution of Crimes against humanity, have already been sentenced 547 ex-military and ex-policias since, ten years ago, was overturned the law of Amnesty.

During the dictatorship disappeared about 30 thousand people.
