Strike costs 500 million to Air France

Most of that lost money due to the cancellation of flights and markings on the rival companies. The losses were partly compensated by the company saved in fuel and other costs.

The strike lasted two weeks and was one of the longest ever. The pilots were protesting against the project of development of low-cost subsidiary Transavia.

The strike ended without an agreement on how the Air France-KLM will develop this branch. The project to extend the European scale Transavia eventually fall, under pressure from the strike. Transavia's activities are still centered in France, but the parent company has not yet set a direction I need.
