Syria: "Jihadists" are less than a kilometre from Kobane

The Islamic State movement increases the pressure on the Syria border town Ayn al-Arab, also known as Kobane.

The Islamic fighters are less than a kilometre from East and South-East of the city, but have had ahead of the Kurdish resistance. As for the civilian population, the majority have fled toward the other side of the border, Turkey.

Most of the villages around Kobane is under the control of "jihadists".

In Iraq the movement Islamic State will have conquered the city of Hit, in the West, but is losing ground on the outskirts of Baghdad. A statement from the Iraqi Government that the army and Shiite groups retook control of 30 villages in the province of Ben 's.

In the northern Iraqi Kurdish city of Erbil, German instructors are to train Kurdish fighters, known as Peshmerga.

In practice two weeks included instruction on the G3 automatic rifles, weapons supplied by Germany to Kurds.
