Iran: nuclear negotiations were suspended

Despite initial optimism, the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program were suspended.

Sources close to the delegations gathered in Vienna advanced that negotiations will be resumed in mid-December, possibly in the Sultanate of Oman.

The same sources indicate that, this time, Iran will not benefit from the reduction of penalties, as happened after the interim agreement signed a year ago in Geneva.

The Group of five plus one-China, United States, France, Britain, Russia and Germany â€" are since last Tuesday to try to negotiate with the Iranian delegation in the Austrian capital.

The goal is the same as always. Limit the ability of Iran's uranium enrichment in Exchange for the progressive lifting of the sanctions.
