Coalition agreement puts an end to six months of political crisis in Kosovo
The opposition leader of the LDK, Isa Mustafa, will assume the leadership of Government, away from the Office, until now the country's Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci, PDK's. A strategic retreat, as the agreement stipulates that Thaci, who accompanied the independence of the territory, should be a candidate for President of Kosovo in 2016. The political crisis dragging on since elections six months ago, because of a legal vacuum in the Constitution. The fundamental text did not allow the opposition to present a candidate for the Presidency of Parliament, despite being the majority in the Chamber. A situation that blocked until now the appointment of the new Government, a function that it is for the President of Parliament.In the light of the coalition agreement, the place will be occupied by a member of the PDK, Kadri Veseli. Hashim Thaci will remain close to the power, since it assumes the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the country.
