Survivors recalled in Auschwitz, 70 years after

In the place where lost their lives in a manner so cruel about 60 thousand people, those who were saved carried through life traumatic memories.

"We don't want our past is the future of our children." said one survivor, Roman Kent.

Ronald Lauder, President of the World Jewish Congress, spoke of current concerns:

"I can't ignore what is happening today. Jews have been persecuted in Europe once again, only because they were Jews. "

The four largest gas chambers at Auschwitz were each 2 thousand people to be killed at once.

Between 20 May 1940 to January 27, 1945 were killed in Auschwitz almost 60 thousand prisoners â€" approximately one million Jews, between 70 to 74 thousand Poles, 21 thousand Gypsies and about 15 thousand Soviet prisoners of war.
