France honors deceased sportsmen in Argentina

French experts of Analytical Research Office (BEA) and Airbus Helicopteres are already in Argentina. Will assist in the investigation of the collision of two helicopters, which made ten dead, including eight Frenchmen, three of them renowned sportsmen.

The investigation went on, however, to the hands of a federal judge.

In Paris, the French Institute of sport, were honored three deceased sportsmen: the yachtswoman Florence Arthaud, the Boxer Alexis Vastine and swimmer Camille Muffat.

Among those in attendance, was the father of Alexis Vastine, who lost a second son in less than two months.

Patrick Kanner, French Minister of youth and sports, made an appeal: "with the Secretary of State for sport, Thierry Braillard, I ask that be performed tributes to deceased sportsmen during competitions of the weekend, as was suggested by the federations and the clubs".

The eight French and two Argentine pilots participated in the filming of a reality show.

The bodies are being identified and French Consul in Argentina expects to be repatriated soon.

About 30 members of the production, including other famous sportsmen, remain in the region of La Rioja argentina. Some should be heard by the authorities, before returning to France.
