Libya: extremists kidnap oil field workers

The abduction took place in the field of Al-Ghani attacked by extremist forces last Friday. At least 11 guards were said to have been killed during the attack.

The information Austrian were advanced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Ministry, at least nine workers have been kidnapped. In addition to Austrians, the Group would include workers still in the Czech Republic, Bangladesh, Philippines and at least one other African country.

The Libya remains plunged into chaos after the fall of the Qadhafi regime four years ago.

This Monday, forces of Tunisia captured a second shipment of weapons along the border with Libya. This is the second such discovery in less than a week.

The Tunisian Government is worried about the expansion of the Islamic State that intends to spread their ideology and influence in the region.
