Historic agreement with Iran

The photo of the approach: the Center, Iran, between China, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, to the Russia and the United States. After eight days of talks, in a quiet Palace, the delegations depart. Just get a political agreement in broad outline accepted by all.

Iran will reduce nuclear production. The enriqueciento of its uranium will be diluted or made abroad. The goal is to remove as far as possible, any threat of manufacture of the nuclear weapon.

This agreement in principle, Tehran also accepts more inspections. The country has 19 thousand centrifuges but can only have six thousand. Westerners can and should verify. The agreement will apply for the next 10 years at least so expect Westerners, which will lift the economic sanctions that affect Iran. Everything depends on respect for commitments, but the Swiss charm, until I saw it worked. It's time for the next step.

John Kerry, known for the ideals of peace, has led the negotiations on behalf of the United States. President Obama hailed the compromise agreement immediately, even having to face the wrath of opponents in Congress and of Israel. This is the research angle of TVE:

Obama said the agreement, reached in Lausanne, is historic and promised to send Congress some White House advisers to inform the Capitol. Is an important point because Congress can put serious obstacles to Obama. The Republicans have the majority in the two chambers and, throughout the process of negotiation were suspicious, always threatening to adopt new sanctions against the regime in Tehran.

To the President of the United States, it is a preliminary agreement, that responds to the objectives. If, back in June, signing the final agreement and Iran the violation, sanctions would be applied again. It is not yet a deal of confidence, Obama stresses, because the level of inspections is unprecedented. The American President declared that Iran will be more controlled the country in the world. Made a point of informing the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyhahu the agreement in Lausanne. Netanyahu is probably the biggest critic of this negotiation process.

* Barak Obama: â€" we conclude a historic agreement with Iran; When is rectified will prevent the acquisition of a nuclear weapon. As President, I have the great responsibility of the safety of the American people and I am convinced that this appointment will lead to a comprehensive agreement, positive for the country, for the allies and for the mundo.*

It was on the banks of a pleasant Lake, in Switzerland, who gave everything for everything. Lausanne was at the center of the world, for a few days; the events precipitated at the end after a long wait, as it found the RTS:

Lived an environment of final sprint in the final round of negotiations on the nuclear programme in Lausanne. In the evening, the Media were summoned to emergency education center of EPEFL to attend a joint declaration between Mohammad Javad Zarif and Federica Mogherini, the head of European diplomacy. A Declaration and not an agreement. A statement explaining the progress of the marathon negotiations and which should lead to the final text of 30 June, by the end, uncertainty prevailed: each piece evoked advances, after a night in white to discuss.

"We're a few meters to tens of metres from the finish line, but we know well that are the last few metres that are the hardest."

No comment from John Kerry, while the Iranian holmólogo utters a few words:.

"The agreement must be finalized by June 30, everybody work well. Today, what we want is to declare that we all agree on the means of solving the problems ".

It is the most long-awaited statement on the site.

Patient wait, what was the other event Lausanne negotiations. For two weeks, the time and the patience resented inexorably, while the words if you woke up and the consideraçãos made.

However, at the Olympic Museum, the 21 March, John Kerry observed the fact that goalie Jim Craig. Shortly after, Park, admired the sculpture of Saint PHale Nicky.

Journalists entertained as they can. The Russians play chess, Iranians, surprised by the rain take cover wherever. You have to wait.

The head of the Chinese diplomacy does jogging while the American counterpart, quiet, makes selfies...?

The Iranian delegation crosses the streets of Ouchi as the Beatles Abbey Road.

Here the time is infinite, almost like an endless day and aimless.

The Iranians hoped, for many years, the ment in which the delegates of the country to sit at the table of Nations. The road ahead is still long but Javad Zarif was welcomed as a hero, in Tehran. The RSI remember the dark years:

The first reactor of Iran's history begins with the support of those who today want to close: Europe and United States.

The Shah was in power, in 50 years. The American President Eisenhower promoted the program ' Atoms for peace '.

But peace between the West and Iran went wrong: in 1979, the Islamic revolution and the subsequent assault on the American Embassy in Tehran with the taking of hostages.

The Shah fell, the new regime accelerated the nuclear program, but without historical allies, with whom all contact was broken.

Iran received, so Russia's help to end the first nuclear power plant.

Two others, kept secret for a long time, have been marked, in 2002, by an Iranian dissident group..

The West feared that the country has possessed the atomic bomb. The Tehran Government denied and insisted: "our intentions are peaceful".

The inspectors of the International Atomic Energy Agency could not prove otherwise. But the United States estavm assured that "Iran was part of the axis of evil".

In 2005, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad incarnava this evil. The new President was determined: nuclear energy was a right and made explosive statements.

Iran announced, on different occasions, installing hundreds of centrifuges for uranium enquiquecimento. The West reacted with sanctions: the first series, in 2006. In the following years were strengthened several times.

But two new Presidents arrived, which meant the end of the stalemate: first Barak Obama, after Hassan Rohani, a moderate Islamist.

A call history in September 2013, ended 30 years of tension. Obama was ready to normalize relations with Tehran, even without the agreement of Israel.
