Indonesia: execution of foreigners convicted of drug trafficking is imminent

The execution of eight foreigners sentenced to death for drug trafficking in Indonesia is imminent. Authorities have given to families by local 8:0 pm Tuesday â€" 2:0 pm in Lisbon-to say a last goodbye.

Two Australians, a Brazilian, a Filipino and four Nigerians may face the firing squad in the next few hours, along with an Indonesian, after exhausting all legal avenues. The Frenchman Serge Atlaoui still waiting the decision of a last resort, but the prosecution has said that Indonesia would not expect "a long time" to run, if the death sentence for drug trafficking is confirmed by the Administrative Court of Jakarta.

All the arrangements are made, provided the ambulances that arrived at the Nusakambangan prison in Central Java Island, to transport the bodies to the coffins and crosses with names, dates of birth and execution.
