Turkish police release Attorney, two kidnappers dead

The authors of the kidnapping are members of the group from far-left Front of Revolutionary People's Liberation Party (DHKP/C).

The kidnappers entered the Court building during the morning, occupying the Office of the Prosecutor for six hours. The photos published on social networks show the magistrate with a gun to your head.

Mehmet Selim Kiraz is responsible for investigating the death of Berkin Elvan. The young man of 15 years died in March 2014 after being in a coma for several months. Berkin was struck in the head by a tear gas grenade thrown by police during the protests against the Government of Recep Erdogan. Erdogan was Prime Minister at the time and is now President of Turkey. The young man eventually became a symbol of opposition to the Government.

The extremist group accused the Prosecutor of not doing enough to find those responsible for the death of the young woman who became a symbol of opposition to the Government and demanded that the policeman who fired the grenade confessed the crime and that the members of the authorities involved in the case to be tried by a people's Court. The DHKP/C required also to stand down the charges against demonstrators who protested against the Government of Erdogan during the funeral of Berkin Elvan.

Already late in the afternoon, after several hours and negotiation, the Turkish special forces are preparing an operation to end the hijacking. During the afternoon, the Turkish Deputy Prime Minister gave orders to "temporarily banned" television broadcasts about the kidnapping.

Also in the afternoon, the father of Berkin Elvan, via social networks, condemned this action: "we want justice. We don't want anyone to pour a drop of blood even. We don't want other mothers weep, "said Sami Elvan.
