A Eurosceptic in Finnish diplomacy

Timo Soini, the Eurosceptic party leader and The nationalist True Finns, is the new Minister for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

Soini's party got in the April 19 legislative 18% of the votes, and became the second largest party in Finland.

The Centre Party of Prime Minister Juha Sipila, who won with a promise to reverse the decline of the economy, allied with the two parties that secured second and third place on the ballot.

The invitation to the party of Soini was interpreted as an attempt to bring the more moderate policies populists.

"Let's work together on a program for the sake of Finland", declared at the time Timo Soini.
