Baltimore celebrates the Justice decision in case Freddy Gray

Five days after the violent riots in the city, the revelation of the autopsy report on Friday confirmed suspicions of murder, at the source of the revolt.

The six officers of the order, one of which murder suspect, are accused of having illegally detained Freddie Gray, transporting him in a police van without a seatbelt or any other protection.

Gray had succumbed to various spinal injury, after having fallen several times during transport to the station.

The victim's stepfather, Richard Shipley, claimed to be satisfied with the decision of Justice: "these accusations are an important step for us to get justice for Freddie and I ask anyone who come to our city, a city we love, the city in which we live, I come in peace".

The Attorney for Baltimore now has ten days to formalize the charges, when the six policemen incur penalties up to 30 years in prison.

But the lawyer of cops, it is too early to draw conclusions:

"For us, the public prosecutor's decisions are hasty and raise questions about the legitimacy of the serious accusations against our police officers," said Michael David.
