Syria: Palmyra Ruins remain intact

The Director-General of Antiquities and Museums of Syria, Maamun Abdelkarim confirmed do not exist, at least so far, any damage to the monument, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

However the air force bombed targets Syria where they were sheltered guerrillas of the Islamic State, on the outskirts of the city, mostly controlled by jihadists.

Since the Islamic State came to town, there's 10 days, at least 217 people were executed including children.

In another video, also released by internet, the jihadists show their fighters in confrontation with the Syrian army on the outskirts of oilfield Jezel, near Palmyra.
