Charleston: Dylann Roof formally charged with murder

Dylann Roof, the 21-year-old suspect in the murder of nine people on Wednesday in a church of the black community of Charleston, South Carolina, was formally charged with the crime.

During the hearing before the judge, the daughter of one of the victims was clear in their declarations:

"Never be able to hold her in my arms, but I forgive you and I desire mercy to your soul. You've hurt a lot of people. That God forgive you, because I forgive you. "

President Barack Obama condemned the "senseless murder" and called for a better legal framework of arms and to the fight against racism.

"The reasons for the apparent shooter remind us that racism is still a plague that we all have to fight," Obama stressed.

At the site of the tragedy, hundreds of people have paid tribute to the nine victims than it already is considered one of the worst crimes motivated by racial hatred, that occurred in the United States for years.
