President of the European Council warns Greek Government

The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, said that "the situation in Greece is becoming critical," with the program of assistance to finish on day 30, after four months of negotiations between international creditors and Athens without final agreement.

"We're getting to the point where the Greek Government will have to choose between accepting what I consider to be a good offer of continued support or non-compliance. Is a decision and a responsibility that only Greece can assume. There's still time, but just a few days. They are used wisely, "said Donald Tusk.

The Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, was received by Vladimir Putin and got an agreement of 2,000 million for the extension of the Russian TurkStream pipeline in Greece, an agreement that is not well seen in Brussels.

Less than two weeks from expiry of the program of financial assistance to the country and the deadline for payment of 1.6 billion to the IMF, Athens is still far from a compromise with its international creditors.

Without agreement, Greece â€" with the public coffers virtually without money â€" is on the verge of default and an exit from the eurozone.
