HEY strikes Shiite mosque in Yemen

The attack, carried out with a car bomb, has been claimed by the Group Islamic State (EI) in the country.

The jihadists justify the attack as a "revenge" as the houthi, who currently controls the Yemeni capital.

The message of the fundamentalists, widespread in social networks, is clear: "the car bomb was detonated near a temple of Shiites infidels", referring to the mosque al-Mehdi Kobbat, where Shiite Muslims usually pray.
