Open the taps of the new extension of the Panama Canal

The Panama Canal is one of the world's most important sea passages. Linking the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean via Caribbean Sea, saving time and money the carriers. But this multimillion-dollar project has been marked by costly setbacks.

Over the next few months are going to be made, tests to evaluate how the new structure can handle a greater volume of water. If all goes as planned, the ships begin to circulate in 2016 and, according to forecasts of the Canal Authority, traffic must duplicate.
