Turkey: rubber bullets at police repression of gay March in Istanbul

In large numbers, the authorities used tear gas, water cannons and also, sometimes, bullets of rubbers against participants in the March of homosexual expression.

The incidents happened on Istiklal Street, one of the best-known pedestrian pathways of the largest city of Turkey.

"These people don't want anything, just a status. They don't throw firebombs and stones but you could see the reaction of the police. The Turkey is so. Any small request of rights is received in this way ", a young.

The Gay Pride, as it is also known, coincided this year with Ramadan.

Five people were detained.
