Al-Shabaab says attack the quarry is part of the operations against the country

The somali Islamist group Al-Shabaab claimed the attack Tuesday, a residential complex in the village of Mbuzi Soko in Mandera, Northern Kenya. The agency Reuters the radical group spokesman said they killed "about 10 Christians Kenyans" and that "this is part of" their "ongoing operations against the country. According to the Kenyan authorities the number of casualties was not higher because the safety of the compound acted promptly. The Homeland Security Secretary Kenyan throws accusations:

"Once again, this attack reminds us that al-Shabaab and his colleagues are determined to disrupt and subvert our day. I take this opportunity to reiterate that Kenya will not be ever intimidated by these murderers."

The attack occurred at the site where workers of a quarry, at dawn. Kenyan authorities say 14 dead, most employees of the complex.
