France: farmers cut off roads by third day

The Government headed by Manuel Valls pledged 600 million euros in tax breaks, more loans worth 500 million euros to help farmers pay their debts. It is estimated that one in ten people in this area is in a situation of bankruptcy.

Farmers protest against low prices paid by large surfaces. Want to also prevent the importation of milk from Spain. Several containers were opened and spilled milk by force by the demonstrators.

The protests have focused in Normandy, but will be extended, starting tonight, to cities like Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand.

Mont Saint-Michel, one of the most emblematic sites of France, won a new landscape, that does not please the many tourists who visit the area.
