Toshiba's President resigns after revealing accounting scandal

In an independent report, Hisao Tanaka, as well as two of his predecessors in Office are accused of having falsified the accounts of the company since 2008.

Concerned are irregularities in the accounts of the Toshiba in the order of EUR 1100 million.

Those responsible would have also hidden the accounts for the financial year 2014/2015.

The current Chairman of the Board of Toshiba, Masashi Muromachi, will temporarily take over the reins of the company.

The company ensures that will present this year's accounts in September, at which point you should appoint a new President.
