Toronto police investigates hacking the dating site

The company owns the website is offering 500 thousand Canadian dollars, equivalent to about 330 thousand euros, to catch the hackers who stole data from users and blackmailed:

"The result of this are hate crimes, so many things are happening, so what we want to tell them is that, in the end, this isn't funny isn't a game as has been the talk in different media, this is not funny and it's not a joke," says the Superintendent of police of Toronto Bryce Evans.

The hackers used an email to blackmail and extort money from users of this website.

Last week, a group of hackers published data with personal information of a number of people.

There were, however, two suicides that police think may be associated with this case.
