Ukraine's President calls for emergency meeting after rebel attack to the OSCE

The President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, asked Monday for urgent meetings with the so-called Quartet of Normandy ", including Germany, France and Russia, to discuss the recent worsening of violence in Eastern Ukraine.

Almost a year and a half after the start of the separatist conflict, the situation continues. In Starognativka, for example, halfway between Donestk and the coastal city of Mariupol, was registered on Sunday an attack on four armored vehicles in the service of the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

The European Union considered "unacceptable" the attack, which was attributed to the rebel forces of the self-proclaimed Republic of Donetsk. Ukrainian defence Minister announced, however, the army's counterattack. At least three civilians and a Ukrainian soldier have died in the clashes from Sunday to Monday.

In Gorlovka, a nearby town of Donetsk, the damage caused by the bombing are high. The residents who remain in town sit helpless. "What's going on? They're killing us like flies, that is from the day July 25 that bombard us day and night. Yesterday started at 08:30 in the morning and stopped only at 04:00, "said an elderly woman.
