Pope defends religious freedom in Philadelphia

More than 40,000 people attended in Independence Hall, where was proclaimed the country's independence in the face of Great Britain, to follow the Pope's speech:

"In a world where various forms of modern tyranny trying to suppress religious freedom [...] or use religion as an excuse for hatred and brutality, it is imperative that the followers of the different religions unite their voices in a call for peace. "
