Turkey: inhabitants of Bezabde can escape the crossfire

Two policemen, a soldier and a dozen activists from the Kurdistan Workers ' Party (PKK) were killed in Southeast Turkey, in the space of 48 hours. The Turkish military maintain operations of crackdown on Kurdish militants who respond in kind.

The inhabitants of the city of Bezabde might, this Friday, leave their homes after several weeks under fire in urban area.

Bezabde is under curfew since mid-December 2015, when Turkish security forces launched a large-scale operation in hopes of eliminating the militants linked to the PKK.

Tens of thousands of civilians were hostages of this battle.
