Attacks on Syria kill over 100 people

In Damascus, the capital, at least 4 bombings killed 62 people and injured 180, says the Syrian Observatory for human rights (OSDH). The attack aimed at the South side of Damascus, Sayyda Zeinab neighborhood, where is located a Shiite Temple.

The self-proclaimed Islamic State claimed responsibility for these attacks, as well as those committed in Homs.

In Homs, at least 57 people, most of them civilians, were killed in a double car bombing blast. The first explosion triggered the second.

The attacks cam e in the predominantly alawite State, a minority of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Observers say that more than 100 people were injured and the death toll may increase.
