Christian Le Squer has earned a third star to the Le Cinq at the hotel George V in Paris, and Alain Ducasse also won the third for the Plaza Athénée, although it has been retrograded to two stars in the Meurice.

With two inputs and two outputs from the maximum category, the Michelin French 26 restaurants enshrined 2016 three stars, just like last year, a total of 600 restaurants "starred".

The distinguished leaders have not forgotten, however, the death of Benoît Violier.

It's a joy somewhat tarnished by the sadness of disappearance of Benoît. There's only one thought to be: think about the woman, the child and the whole team of the "Hôtel de Ville", says Jean-François Piège of Le Grand Restaurant (two stars).

In Paris, it was observed a minute of silence in memory of Benoît Violier, found dead on Sunday, with a shotgun to the side. Everything indicates this is a suicide.

At the age of 44 years, the Swiss Chief of Restaurant de l ' Hôtel de Ville to Crissier, near Lausanne, had also been awarded in December, with a number of "List" (List), which ranks the 1000 best restaurants.

The Bon Bon, led by Chef Rui Silvestre, in Carvoeiro, Algarve, is the latest Portuguese restaurant awarded a distinguished star of the famous Michelin Guide to Spain and Portugal. In all, 14 Michelin stars are marked this year by Portuguese restaurants.
