Venezuela imposed power cuts during 40 days

For 40 days, the ten most populous States in the country â€" a total of 24 â€" will face cuts of electricity to 4 hours per day.

The severe drought affecting Venezuela did come down to an abnormally low level water at the dam of Guri hydroelectric plant, which feeds the country's 70%.

The Minister of electricity, Luis Motta, explained that "the population will continue to be supplied, but there will be restrictions, which are a necessary sacrifice".
