Iraq: curfew after new invasion the green zone

Security forces used tear gas and opened fire to disperse the protest, causing an unspecified number of wounded.

A protester explains that were attacked with "gas", "stun grenades" and even "live ammunition".

Following the invasion of the green zone, the seat of Government and foreign embassies, the authorities decreed a curfew in Baghdad. The protesters have even enter briefly at the Office of the Prime Minister, Haider al-Abadi. Al-Sadr, meanwhile, warned that if the "peaceful demonstrations" continue to be blocked, "the revolution will assume another dimension".
