Áfrical from violent protests against ANC candidate to Pretoria

At least two dozens of vehicles were set on fire and blocked several roads with rocks and burning tires, by protesters who contested the decision of the African National Congress (ANC) to appoint as head of ex-Minister Thoko Didiza list.

A resident of Pretoria explains that "the population is not happy with the Government's decision" and plans to the renewal of the current Mayor of the capital, Kgosientso Ramokgopa which, he adds, is "who belongs in the post".

The Government has classified the protesters of "anarchists and vandals". The police announced the opening of an investigation for murder, after an ANC supporter was found shot to death on the sidelines of a party meeting.
