Protest against journalists and activists detained in Turkey

About 200 people of challenged the authorities. On Monday were arrested Erol Onderoglu, representative of reporters without borders, Ahmet Nesin, Sebnem Korur Fincanci, and author, doctor, human rights activist.

The demonstration took place in front of the pro-Kurdish paper Ozgur Gundem, newspaper.

"The international community should indeed see the level that freedom of the press and human rights went back and focus on this situation. Turkish society and democratic powers in this country are isolated. You may be able to break this isolation with pressure and messages of solidarity from around the world, "explains Gunay Aksoy, Publisher of the newspaper.

The three detainees have joined the event of 50 other people to be guest editors of the newspaper.

The journal, pro-Kurdish paper, which had already published articles of PKK commanders, faced dozens of investigations and other editors are sights of the authorities.

The PKK is considered a terrorist organization by the European Union and the United States.
