Russia and Turkey resume contacts

The heads of the Russian and Turkish diplomacy, Sergey Lavrov and Mevlut Cavusoglu, met Friday in Sochi, in southern Russia.

The resume of the contacts was only possible after the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, have sent a letter of apology to the Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, for the slaughter of the bomber, which led to the deaths of two Russians.

Moscow already has ordered the lifting of the sanctions against Turkey, the tourist level, and the normalization of trade relations with Ankara.
