German: single legislative debate doesn't change reviews

The only televised debate of the campaign for the German legislative ended with a technical draw, without changing opinions in the electorate.According to the German media, the benefits of Chancellor Angela Merkel and social democrat rival were equivalent. With a strong disadvantage in the polls, Peer Steinbrück centered debate on European crisis and in the event of a third rescue for Greece. The social democratic candidate stated that "would have followed a different strategy. Of course, there is a need for a consolidation of the public budgets, but not a lethal dose for the countries [in trouble]. The CDU-CSU knows that the doses applied programmes can be lethal and they need to be accompanied by a dual strategy, with incentives for these countries. "The Chancellor defended the European policy of his Government, who claims to have also improved over the past four years the situation of the majority of Germans, and launched an appeal to vote.Merkel stressed that the electorate would know "and know what you want to achieve". The Chancellor said she wants "the next four years are as good as the previous ones", so that "Germany is the largest economy in Europe and a mediator and partner, especially in these times of crisis".If the debate did not reveal passions, the necklace of the Chancellor, in the colors of the German flag, led to the creation of a special account on Twitter which raised four thousand followers.Merkel has a comfortable lead of more than 40 percent of voting intentions for the next legislative day 22, against only 26 percent for Steinbrück.
