German: single legislative debate doesn't change reviews

The only televised debate of the campaign for the German legislative ended with a technical draw, without changing opinions in the electorate.

According to the German media, the benefits of Chancellor Angela Merkel and social democrat rival were equivalent. With a strong disadvantage in the polls, Peer Steinbrück centered debate on European crisis and in the event of a third rescue for Greece.

The social democratic candidate stated that "would have followed a different strategy. Merkel has a comfortable lead of more than 40 percent of voting intentions for the next legislative day 22, against only 26 percent for Steinbrück.
